What the job is

Arilo, a creative production and marketing agency with studios in Cape Town, New York, and the Philippines, is hiring a 3D and Animation Lead. This role is based in Cape Town at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. The company specializes in working with global brands in beauty, healthcare, retail, and luxury sectors, using advanced techniques like AI and automation to create high-quality visual content.

What you will do

You will be responsible for creating photorealistic 3D images and animations for product launches, campaigns, retail, ecommerce, and social media. This includes producing product renders, setting up lighting, recreating materials, and visualizing packaging. You will also create motion content such as product reveals, exploded views, fluid simulations, and full CGI commercials. Additionally, you will integrate AI tools into the creative process for concepting, compositing, rendering, and automation. Collaboration with Creative Directors, Designers, and the AI Studio team will be a key part of your role.

What you need

You need at least 7 years of experience in a premium agency or production environment, preferably with client-facing experience. Expert-level skills in Blender are required, and experience with Cinema 4D, Maya, 3ds Max, or Houdini is a plus. You should have strong rendering expertise in tools like Cycles, Octane, Redshift, Arnold, or Eevee, as well as animation and compositing skills in After Effects. Familiarity with AI creative tools such as Midjourney, Runway, Kling, or Flux is also important. Experience in beauty, luxury, FMCG, healthcare, or retail industries will be beneficial.
