What the job is

This is a permanent position for a General Manager in Financial Planning, Analysis, and Business Partnering at Eskom, based in Sunninghill, Gauteng. The role involves leading financial strategy and performance management to support executive decision-making and improve the organization’s long-term success. You will work closely with business units to align financial goals with operational execution.

What you will do

You will lead and oversee corporate planning, budgeting, and financial performance management. Your responsibilities include providing strategic business partnering, directing commercial and strategic analysis, and delivering enterprise insights. You will also drive leadership development, champion transformation and innovation, and ensure financial strategies support business priorities across all units.

What you need

You must have a postgraduate qualification in Management Accounting, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (NQF 8 with 480 credits) or a Chartered Global Management Accounting (CGMA) certification. You need at least 10 years of experience in leading complex strategic initiatives, with expertise in enterprise planning, business partnering, and financial modeling at a senior management level. Experience in infrastructure, energy, or regulated environments is advantageous. Professional membership with CIMA or a similar body is required.
