What the job is

This is a Senior Project Manager position at Rosstone Professional Solutions, based in Sandton, Gauteng. The role involves supporting the Group Corporate Projects Department to deliver projects that align with business and strategic priorities. The company operates in the chemicals industry and is looking for someone with strong project management experience.

What you will do

You will coordinate the capital budgeting process and ensure project definitions from business units match the organization’s strategic goals. You will lead projects from start to finish, including pre-feasibility, feasibility, design, execution, and close-out. You will establish project requirements, priorities, and timelines by working with stakeholders and producing clear user requirements, scopes of work, schedules, and cost estimates. You will also develop execution strategies based on project complexity, risk, resource needs, business priorities, and investment appetite.

What you need

You must have a BSc or BEng (Hons) in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, along with a postgraduate qualification in engineering or project management. You need 10 to 20 years of proven experience managing multiple complex projects. You should also have knowledge and experience in developing and implementing best engineering and project management practices, as well as project management tools and systems.

What you will get

The salary for this permanent, full-time position ranges from R100,000 to R150,000 per year. The role is based on-site in Sandton, Gauteng.
