What the job is
This is a position for a Fibre Supply Manager at a leading company in the packaging and paper industry. The job is based in Johannesburg South, Gauteng. The company is looking for someone experienced to manage the supply of materials needed for their production.
What you will do
You will be responsible for making sure the company has a steady, affordable, and sustainable supply of recovered fibre and other raw materials. You will manage relationships with suppliers and handle contracts to ensure materials are available when needed. You will also negotiate prices and terms to get the best deals for the company. Additionally, you will analyze market trends and plan ahead to avoid shortages or delays in production.
What you need
You must have a degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Management, Forestry, Environmental Management, or a related field. You should have experience in fibre procurement, recovered paper, recycling, pulp and paper, or a similar industry. Strong knowledge of fibre markets, suppliers, and procurement processes is required. You should also have good negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is necessary, and a valid driver’s licence may be helpful.
What you will get
The salary for this position ranges from R250,000 to R550,000 per year. This is a permanent, full-time role offering the chance to work in a key position within a growing industry.
