What the job is
This is an Engineer in Training (EIT) internship position offered by Eskom, a major company in the electricity, energy, and water supply industry. The role is based at the Duvha Power Station in Witbank, Mpumalanga. It is a 24-month training program designed for graduates specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, or Control and Instrumentation (C&I) Engineering.
What you will do
You will receive structured and on-the-job training for 24 months as part of this program. You will work within the Engineering Department at the Duvha Power Station, gaining practical experience in your field of specialization. You will be expected to demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and customer-focused behavior throughout the training period.
What you need
You must have a fully completed Engineering Degree (B Eng or BSc Eng) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering. You must be a South African citizen. Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are required. You should also be energetic, polite, assertive, and able to work as part of a team.
