What the job is

This is an apprenticeship position for a Learner Artisan specializing in Electrical work at Eskom. The job is based at Koeberg Power Station in Cape Town, Western Cape. Eskom is a major company in the electricity, energy, and water supply industry, and this role is part of their training program.

What you will do

You will receive structured training both in a classroom setting and on the job. This includes learning the practical and theoretical aspects of electrical work. You will be expected to work as part of a team, follow company policies, and maintain high standards of professionalism and integrity. Your role will also involve interacting with customers and colleagues, so good communication and interpersonal skills are important.

What you need

You must be a South African citizen. You need one of the following qualifications: a National N6 Certificate with Electrical or Electronics trade subjects, a National N4 or N5 Certificate with trade subjects, a Grade 12 certificate with at least 50% in Pure Maths and Physical Science and 40% in English, an N3 certificate with 50% in Pure Maths and Science and 40% in English, or an NCV Level 4 with 50% in Pure Maths and Science and 40% in English. No prior work experience is required, but you must be energetic, polite, and a self-starter.
