What the job is

This is a Senior DevOps and Site Reliability Engineer position at Rosstone Professional Solutions, based in Sandton, Gauteng. The role is a contract position for 12 months, focusing on improving software development, cloud infrastructure, and platform operations to ensure reliable and scalable systems.

What you will do

You will work to connect software development with cloud infrastructure and operations. Your main tasks will include building and maintaining secure and scalable platforms, automating processes to improve efficiency, and ensuring systems run smoothly in production. You will also help engineering teams deliver business value quickly and safely while managing large-scale enterprise platforms.

What you need

You must have at least 8 years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering, with at least 5 years specifically in DevOps engineering and 3 years in Site Reliability Engineering. You should have hands-on experience managing critical production systems and operating large-scale platforms. Preferred certifications include Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, and others like HashiCorp Terraform Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer. Technical skills in Microsoft Azure, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, and similar tools are required.

What you will get
