What the job is

This is an apprenticeship position for a Learner Technician specializing in Electrical or Electronics at Eskom. The role is based at Koeberg Power Station in Cape Town, Western Cape. Eskom is a major company in the electricity, energy, and water supply industry, and this opportunity is part of their training program.

What you will do

You will receive both classroom-based and hands-on training to develop your skills in electrical or electronics work. You will work as part of a team and follow Eskom’s policies and procedures. Your role will involve learning technical tasks under supervision and applying what you learn in real work situations. You will also develop communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills as part of your training.

What you need

You must be a South African citizen and have completed an S4, S5, or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Electronics. You should be a team player with strong integrity, professionalism, and a customer-focused attitude. Good communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to negotiate and liaise with others are important. You should also be polite, punctual, energetic, a self-starter, and assertive.
