What the job is

This is a contract position for an AI Engineer at Rosstone Professional Solutions in Johannesburg, Gauteng. You will work on cutting-edge AI projects using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry to create smart solutions for businesses.

What you will do

You will design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions that automate business tasks and improve efficiency. Your work will include developing AI agents and copilots using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry. You will also build scalable AI systems, set up orchestration pipelines, and create RAG-based applications. Additionally, you will connect AI solutions to enterprise systems through APIs, data platforms, and cloud services. You will deploy and optimize AI agents across platforms like Microsoft Teams and Power Platform, while ensuring security, governance, and compliance with Responsible AI practices. Monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving AI performance will also be part of your role, along with mentoring team members and contributing to AI best practices.

What you need

You need 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and related AI tools. You should have a proven track record of building and deploying AI, machine learning, or Generative AI solutions. Knowledge of agent-based systems, conversational AI, and RAG pipelines is required. Strong skills in Python and API integration are essential, as well as experience with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including data integration and cloud services. Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Agile, SAFe, and DevOps practices is also important.
