What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Business Systems Manager in IT at Aspen Pharma Group, based in Port Elizabeth. The role involves leading and managing business systems and technical reporting for the company’s operations in South Africa.

What you will do

You will design, set up, and manage business systems and reporting tools. This includes improving system platforms, automating processes, and fixing system issues to make operations smoother. You will also lead the deployment of manufacturing systems and software updates. Additionally, you will analyze errors in business systems, find their root causes, and make necessary changes to fix them. You will supervise and mentor a technical team, ensuring they meet operational goals and deadlines. Finally, you will work closely with stakeholders to turn business needs into technical solutions.

What you need

You must have a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering. You need at least 4 to 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, IT, or process control, along with 2 to 3 years of experience managing a team. Strong project management skills and experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing setting are required. You should also have a good understanding of batch processing and system integration.
