What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Officer at Sun International, located in Sun City. The role is part of the company’s commitment to maintaining high safety and environmental standards in its operations.

What you will do

You will coordinate Safety, Health, and Environment projects to ensure compliance with regulations. You will conduct and facilitate investigations into incidents to understand causes and prevent future issues. You will also ensure that all SHE policies and procedures are followed across the organization. Additionally, you will manage relationships with stakeholders to promote a strong SHE culture and provide accurate and timely reports on SHE performance.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate, and a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Management is an advantage. You need certifications in Environmental Management (ISO 14001 or IEMA) and Health and Safety Management (ISO 18001). At least 3 years of experience in occupational health and safety or environmental management is required, and experience in the gaming and hospitality industry is a plus. You should have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as knowledge of waste management, inspections, and project management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ISO and NOSA systems are also required. You must be physically able to perform the duties and willing to work shifts as needed.
