What the job is
This is a factory-based job for a Maintenance Manager, Scheduler, or Maintenance Planner at Worldwide Positions. The role is based in Pretoria, Gauteng, and involves working in a fast-paced flexible packaging manufacturing plant. The company is looking for someone to plan and schedule maintenance for machines and the factory to keep everything running smoothly.
What you will do
You will plan and schedule maintenance for machines and factory equipment to ensure they work properly. You will manage the dispatch of maintenance tasks and oversee vehicle management related to maintenance activities. You will also assist with general building maintenance, including welding and minor repairs. Additionally, you will work with production machinery, address electrical and mechanical issues, and use computer software like MS Office and SAGE for planning and tracking.
What you need
You must have a Matric qualification and previous experience in maintenance planning and scheduling in a production or manufacturing environment. Knowledge of production processes, machine maintenance, and electrical or mechanical issues is required. Experience with weaving machines (fabric) is a plus. You should have strong computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and your own transport. You must be willing to work overtime and occasional Saturdays and be able to start as soon as possible. You must currently live in Pretoria North or the surrounding areas.
