What the job is

This is a full-time Senior Civil Engineer position at Eskom, a leading company in electricity, energy, and water supply. The job is based in Germiston, Gauteng, and focuses on developing and supporting technology strategies, processes, and designs in the field of civil engineering.

What you will do

You will provide technical consulting and support to customers. You will create and integrate engineering solutions and designs for asset creation. You will develop technical standards, procedures, and work practices specific to civil engineering. You will contribute to roadmaps for the discipline and research new technologies. You will also manage product, equipment, and material development, as well as technical changes. Additionally, you will participate in national and international technical forums and help develop other engineers in the field.

What you need

You must have a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engineering (NQF Level 8 with 480 credits). You need at least 4 years of technical experience in engineering-related technologies. You must be registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). Strong analytical, communication, and technical problem-solving skills are required. You should also be results-driven, safety-conscious, and able to work in teams.
