What the job is

This is a job for a Quality Controller at Freedom Stationary (Pty) Ltd, a manufacturing company based in Isithebe, KwaZulu-Natal. The role is permanent and involves making sure that all products meet the required standards before they are sent to customers.

What you will do

You will check that products are made exactly as described in job cards, specifications, and sample models. This includes inspecting plastic products for size, appearance, color, and other defects like gels, watermarks, or waves. You will also make sure that items are packed and labeled correctly according to what the customer wants. You will verify that the right barcodes and labels are used on each product. Additionally, you will keep track of waste from machines, report high waste levels, and mark any rejected items clearly. You will also fill out records for work-in-progress, final inspections, and other reports.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent. Experience in quality control, production, or plastic manufacturing is a plus but not required. You need to pay close attention to detail and be able to spot product defects easily. You should be able to follow instructions from job cards and customer requirements accurately. Basic skills in administration and record-keeping are also important. Good communication is needed to report quality issues to supervisors and team members. You must be reliable, proactive, and able to work well in a team.
