What the job is

A well-known water treatment company is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in Emalahleni (Witbank), Mpumalanga. This is a permanent position with a leading company in the environmental services industry. The role involves overseeing electrical maintenance, condition monitoring, and team supervision at an industrial water treatment plant.

What you will do

You will plan, organize, and carry out electrical and condition monitoring maintenance tasks. You will supervise maintenance teams, ensuring preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance is done properly. You will monitor equipment conditions, prepare detailed reports, and ensure safety and housekeeping standards are met. You will also manage maintenance stores, assist with new installations, and apply problem-solving techniques like Root Cause Analysis. Additionally, you will train and coordinate the maintenance team and ensure all documentation is completed on time.

What you need

You must have an N4 qualification as a Millwright or Electrician, along with a recognized electrical apprenticeship and a Section 13 Trade Test. A Medium Voltage qualification and experience with MV switching are required. You need at least 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, preferably in industrial water treatment plants. Strong electrical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and experience with maintenance management systems are essential. You should also have good leadership, communication, and computer skills, and be physically fit to work in an industrial environment. Own transport and willingness to travel are necessary.

What you will get

The salary for this role is between R600,000 and R720,000 per year, and it is negotiable. This is a permanent, full-time position with opportunities for career growth in the environmental services and engineering fields.
