What the job is

A well-known water treatment company in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. This is a permanent role for someone with strong experience in electrical maintenance, condition monitoring, and leading maintenance teams. You will work at an industrial water treatment plant, planning and overseeing electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks.

What you will do

You will supervise and coordinate electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation maintenance teams. Your duties include planning and executing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, as well as troubleshooting and repairing equipment. You will ensure all maintenance activities, such as vibration analysis and equipment performance evaluations, are completed, recorded, and reported. You will also manage maintenance stores, control stock levels, and assist with specifying and implementing new electrical and mechanical installations. Additionally, you will train and manage the maintenance team, apply Root Cause Analysis methods, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

What you need

You must have an N4 qualification as a Millwright or Electrician, along with a recognized electrical apprenticeship and a Section 13 Trade Test. A Medium Voltage qualification and MV switching experience are required. You need at least 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, preferably in industrial water treatment plants. Strong electrical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and experience with maintenance management systems are essential. You should also have good computer skills, leadership abilities, and the physical fitness to work in an industrial environment, including confined spaces and heights.

What you will get

The salary for this role is between R600,000 and R720,000 per year, and it is negotiable. This is a permanent, full-time position with opportunities for career growth in the engineering and environmental services industry.
