What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Waiter at Pedros, a well-known restaurant chain. The job is based in Paarl, Cape Town, and is part of an exciting new store opening. You will be part of a dynamic team helping to launch the store and build a strong customer-focused culture from the start.

What you will do

You will greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional way. You will present menus, explain daily specials, and take accurate food and drink orders. You will serve meals and beverages quickly and check that customers are happy with their experience. You will clear and reset tables efficiently, process payments when needed, and handle any customer complaints calmly. You will also keep the dining area clean and work closely with the kitchen and cashier teams.

What you need

You should have good communication skills and some experience in hospitality, though this is not strictly required. You must be able to work flexible shifts and have a passion for providing excellent service. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask, and emotional intelligence are important. You should also be able to handle conflicts professionally and present yourself well.
