What the job is

This is a job for a Senior Manager at Pedros, a restaurant company. The position is based in Paarl, Cape Town, in the Western Cape. It is a permanent role for a new store opening, offering a chance to be part of a dynamic team and help build a strong store culture from the start.

What you will do

You will oversee the overall operation of the restaurant or takeaway. You will ensure food quality and Pedros standard operating procedures are followed. You will manage stock control, purchasing, and orders. You will handle customer complaints and maintain high customer service levels. You will maximize profitability and meet sales and profit targets, while motivating staff. You will manage staff, including discipline and work schedules. You will ensure health and safety regulations are followed. You will conduct daily opening and closing procedures. You will lead marketing activities and promotions. You will handle customer service complaints within the required time frame. You will train and develop staff, conduct performance evaluations, and lead recruitment and selection.

What you need

You need at least 3 years of experience in restaurant or fast-food service. Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is an advantage. You must have strong management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Good customer service and verbal communication skills are required. You should be able to work in a team and drive the restaurant forward.
