Meridian Wine Merchants is currently seeking a passionate and results-driven individual to join our team as a Wine List Assistant. At Meridian Wine Merchants, we expertly combine tradition and innovation to provide outstanding products tailored to our diverse clients. This position is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

The Wine List Assistant is responsible for supporting the On-Consumption Trade Marketing & Sales Team with wine list development, growth, and operational maintenance of the overall process for all On-Consumption customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Receiving and reviewing wine list briefs
• Assisting Sales Consultants with wine list development
• Assisting with portfolio prioritisation, as well as gap and competitor analysis
• Managing the process from brief, design, proofs, sign-off, print & production to delivery

Key requirements:

• A passion for wine and food, and a love for the hospitality industry
• A self-starter, highly motivated, and driven by service excellence
• Pays extreme attention to detail, is process-driven, with creative flair

Qualifications and experience:

• Grade 12
• Certificate in Sales, Marketing, or a related field
• CWA Certificate or SA Introductory Course (or equivalent) will be beneficial
