Job Description
SACAP (The South African College of Applied Psychology) is the leading independent provider of accredited Psychology, Counselling, Human Resource Management, Business Management and Social Work qualifications, with all courses grounded in psychology. We have campuses in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Online.
SACAP is seeking a Human Capital Business Partner.
The Human Capital Business Partner (HCBP) will be responsible for implementing the HC strategy at a campus level. Ensuring alignment with the HC strategy and institutional goals. This role serves as both a generalist and a specialist, providing HC expertise across key areas, including but not limited to employee onboarding, employee relations, performance management, employee experience. The HCBP acts as an advisor to campus leadership and ensures HR best practices are effectively applied across all campuses nationally.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Applicable bachelor’s degree as a minimum
- Minimum of 5 years + relevant demonstrative experience as a Human Resources specialist and generalist, with an additional 2 years in an HRBP or HR management role.
- SABPP membership
- Experience in higher education or the private tertiary sector is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and HR best practice.
- Proficiency in HR technology and data-driven insights.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple HR functions across campuses.
- Data-driven approach to HR insights and decision-making.
- Knowledge of labour laws and compliance requirements.
- Strong experience in executing on the employee life cycle in alignment with the HR strategy.

The role will report directly to the Head of Human Capital.
Operating Hours:
This is a full-time position operating from Mondays to Fridays*:
- Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
- Friday: 08:30 – 16:00
