Millwright

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright specializing in steel to join our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel mill maintenance and installation, with a thorough understanding of the processes and equipment involved in working with steel. The Millwright will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of all steel-related machinery and equipment within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on steel mill equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, rollers, and specialized machinery.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with steel mill machinery, identifying and implementing solutions to prevent downtime.
• Install and set up new equipment as needed, following blueprints and manufacturer instructions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols when working with steel mill equipment.

Qualifications:

• Trade Tested Millwright
• Minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship of experience working as a Millwright in a steel mill or similar environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to working in a steel mill environment.
