Full Stack Java Developer

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic full-stack Java developer to join our innovative IT team. You will work with the latest technologies to develop high-quality, efficient, and scalable applications across various business functions.

Requirements

• Minimum of six years’ commercial experience.
• Proficiency in Java programming with Maven as a build tool.
• Strong SQL knowledge using PostgreSQL.
• Experience with unit test frameworks like JUnit.
• Knowledge of Docker for building and using container images.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Terraform.
• Experience working with cloud technologies on AWS or Azure.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development with GitHub Actions or GitLab.
• Frontend experience with Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of frameworks and libraries like JavaScript, jQuery, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with UX design and Figma.
• Any additional responsibilities assigned under the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance a streamlined user experience, working on both frontend and full stack development.
• Conduct system analysis, design, development, and testing within an agile/DevOps delivery model.
• Maintain, develop, deploy, and operate backend and frontend cross-platform applications using Java and Angular frameworks.
• Implement robust automated test cases to ensure technical solutions meet expected outcomes and business objectives.
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures, protocols, and system documentation.

Contract details

• Reference number: GZ60174
• Location: Midrand/Centurion/semi-remote
• Contract rate: R580 to R640 per hour (negotiable based on experience and ability)
