IT Technician
Job Description
An experienced IT Technician & Administrator is sought for a permanent position based in Richards Bay.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Matric
- 2 to 4 years of experience in an IT technician or administrator role, with expertise in installing and maintaining network infrastructure.
- Previous experience in the retail or FMCG industries is advantageous.
- A strong background in server management (MS Server 2016/SQL Server), domain management (DC and G Suite), firewall administration, IT procurement, and multi-level backups is essential.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting applications, networking, and infrastructure management, along with a solid administrative foundation, is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities,
- Proficiency in Excel/Sheets is crucial.
Responsibilities include providing onsite and remote end-user support for desktop devices, acting as the primary IT resource for site projects, and offering first-line support for telephony and mobile devices.
The role also involves preparing and installing end-user devices, managing IT-related requests and escalations, and ensuring seamless IT operations across remote sites.
A valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and willingness to work after hours and weekends are mandatory.
