Job Description

As the National Commercial Manager, you will be pivotal in implementing and optimising route-to-market strategies for a diverse range of food products.
Your role will encompass managing the entire value chain from factory to shelf, maximising revenue and profit through various sales channels.
You will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and growing existing businesses while establishing new opportunities. This role involves cost management to achieve profit targets, managing service level expectations, and actively participating in business development.
You will collaborate with various functional teams, develop overall strategies, and execute projects that contribute to the company’s growth.
Your success will depend on effective collaboration with stakeholders, including supply chain, sales, marketing, and financial management.
This role offers a dynamic and integral position within the organisation, driving strategic initiatives and fostering professional growth.
Essential Requirements:
- BCom or IMM, with experience managing national Key Accounts and distributors.
- Minimum of 5 – 8 years of experience in sales at the regional or national level.
- A demonstrated knowledge of the retail trade and forecourts.
- Solid commercial experience
- Preference will be given to individuals with a trading background.
- Extensive experience in Business Development, Key Accounts, managing third-party distributors and coordinating a large team across the country is essential.
- Must have strong leadership skills, commercial and financial acumen, analytical skills, communication and presentation skills and strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to integrate with all levels of Management.
