Solar Electrical Project Manager

Our client is looking for a Solar Electrical Project Manager to join their team in Cape Town, WC. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-growing Electrical Energy sector, helping clients manage energy consumption and implement Solar PV solutions. The role involves consulting, project management, and technical expertise to deliver optimal energy solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with industrial clients to assess their energy needs and conduct site inspections.
• Provide expert advice on energy management, efficiency improvements, and investment opportunities.
• Conduct Return on Investment (RoI) assessments for electricity-saving projects, including solar energy systems.
• Prepare technical specifications and quotation requests for approved Solar Energy providers.
• Evaluate bids, adjudicate proposals, and recommend optimal solutions.
• Manage the full project lifecycle, from installation to handover and commissioning.
• Report to senior management and collaborate with colleagues.
• Continuously review processes and seek improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably electrical).
• Minimum of 2 years of technical experience, ideally within an Electrical Services or Solar Energy company.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiastic and eager to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and general business acumen.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license.
