Learning Design Manager
Job Description
SACAP is looking for a Learning Design Manager.
The Learning Design Manager oversees the strategic planning, development, and implementation of innovative learning experiences. The role ensures alignment of design initiatives with institutional goals, academic standards, and diverse learner needs by working closely with the Head of Learning Innovation, Curriculum Specialist, and Learning Technology Manager.
The role requires leadership, instructional design expertise, and project management skills to lead the Learning Design team in delivering high-quality educational outcomes through evidence-based practices, creative approaches, and cutting-edge technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
- A postgraduate qualification (e.g., Master’s degree) is desirable.
- Demonstratable experience in learning design
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects.
- Proven history in developing innovative and accessible learning solutions.
- Experience with curriculum frameworks and integrating technology in learning design.
SKILLS:
- Expertise in instructional design methodologies and learning theories.
- Skills in strategic planning and project management, including budget oversight.
- Proficiency in using educational technologies and AI to enhance learning.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Data analysis capabilities for evaluating and improving learning initiatives.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Learning Innovation.
Operating Hours:
This is a full-time position operating from Mondays to Fridays*:
Monday to Thursday: 08:30am to 17:00pm
Friday: 08:30am to 16:00pm
*Due to the nature of this role, there will be a need to work flexible hours to the extent to which it is reasonably necessary to perform the duties of this position.
