Production Planner
Description:
The Production Planner will be responsible for executing daily production schedules and plans for all production units, ensuring effective capacity and procurement planning, KPI reporting, and maintaining updated master data. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to monitor variances, address challenges, and drive continuous improvement in the production process.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute daily production schedules and plans.
- Perform capacity planning and procurement planning.
- Monitor and track adherence to production processes.
- Measure and report on KPIs.
- Maintain and update master data daily.
- Identify and address challenges, trends, and opportunities in production planning.
- Conduct stock build plans and resource shift/labor planning.
- Ensure compliance with procurement requirements and manage supplier relationships.
- Analyze historical and current performance for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and tactical forecasting of the department.
- Implement and review long-term tactical plans.
Requirements:
- BEng Industrial or BCom in Supply Chain.
- 1-2 years of operational supply chain experience required.
- FMCG industry experience is advantageous.
- Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
- Operational and procurement planning expertise.
- Understanding of supply chain and statistical demand/forecasting techniques.
- Financial or economic background.
- Project management experience.
- Valid driver’s license and own car.
- Willingness to work in Boekenhout (Cullinan) and consider travel costs.
- Residing in Cullinan, Rayton, or the northern suburbs of Pretoria is ideal.
