SPEECH THERAPIST AT NURTURE HELDERBERG- WESTERN CAPE
Job Description
Our Therapy Group Practice at Nurture Helderberg in the Western Cape is looking for a Speech Therapist to join their team reporting to the Therapy Manager.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Current HPCSA registration and Malpractice Insurance
- Up to date CPD status
- Experience in a rehabilitation environment advantageous
- Special interest / expertise within Neurological conditions
- Experience in working with ventilated or tracheotomized patients
- Valid driver’s license with own transport
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Good written and spoken English language skills (Afrikaans and Xhosa will be advantageous)
- Awareness of evidence base for interventions
- Computer literacy (assessment and weekly reports for medical funders and Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to self-manage; prioritize workload, and adaptability
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills within a team setting
- Analysis; decision making and initiative-taking
- Leadership competencies required for upskilling of broader rehab team
Minimum Salary: R28 118.01 CTC (including benefits)
