Fire Engineer

Hire Resolve’s Client are seeking a skilled Fire Engineer to join their dynamic team, focusing on developing fire safety and compliance designs for multi-disciplinary construction projects across South Africa and internationally. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in mechanical building services and fire safety systems, coupled with a strong drive for excellence and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop fire safety and fire compliance designs for diverse construction projects.
• Manage small to medium projects independently and contribute to large-scale projects as part of the fire design management team.
• Prepare fire safety designs, including:
  • SANS deemed-to-satisfy and rational building fire safety designs.
  • Firefighting equipment systems.
  • Smoke evacuation systems.
  • Stair pressurization systems.
  • Fire sprinkler systems.
• Professionally represent the company in client meetings, site inspections, and surveys.
• Assist with the preparation of tender documentation and project management administration.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience:
  • At least 5 years in mechanical building services.
  • At least 5 years in SANS fire safety design and systems.
  • Experience with thermal modelling (advantageous).
• Skills:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
• Qualification:
  • BTech/BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
