IT Help Desk Agent
Job Description
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support within a 24/7 helpdesk environment. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving IT issues across remote sites and cloud applications, ensuring seamless operations.
You must have 1–3 years of IT support experience and be familiar with remote desktop tools (e.g., RDP, AnyDesk) and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
Expertise in Windows administration, basic Linux and networking knowledge (VPN, LAN/WAN), and experience with tools like Zabbix are essential.
Proficiency in SQL and printer troubleshooting and understanding cloud platforms like Azure AD or Google Workspace are highly desirable.
Preferred qualifications include certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or Cisco CCNA, though equivalent experience is valued.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment are critical.
Additional skills in PowerShell scripting, API integrations, or Power BI reporting are advantageous.
The ability to communicate in Afrikaans is highly advantageous.
Key responsibilities encompass remote IT support, system monitoring, ticket management, and cloud user administration.
You will also coordinate with on-site field support for unresolved issues, manage user roles, configure applications, and generate critical reports.
