GCC Engineer

Location: Mpumalanga, South Africa

Position Overview:
Hire Resolve’s Client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCC Engineer to join their mining team in Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the mining operation, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, and leading a team of engineers to achieve production targets.

Responsibilities:
– Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the mining site according to all relevant regulations and standards
– Leading a team of engineers and technicians to achieve production targets
– Developing and implementing maintenance and reliability programs to optimize equipment performance
– Providing technical expertise and support to production teams
– Developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
– Conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
– Developing and managing budgets and resource plans for the mining operation
– Collaborating with other departments to optimize overall production and performance

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
– GCC (Government Certificate of Competency) in Mines and Works
– Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the mining industry
– Strong knowledge of mining operations, regulations, and standards
– Experience in managing teams and leading projects
– Excellent communication and leadership skills
– Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
