Our client, a multi solutions engineering provider to the built environment is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join their team!
Requirements:
- Matric
- Health and Safety Tertiary qualification is required
- Min 3yrs relevant experience in the field of Health and Safety, within the construction industry
- Experience in the implementation of ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18000 systems
- HIRA would be advantageous
- SAMTRAC qualified would be advantageous
- Incident Investigation Course
- Valid Drivers License with Own Transport
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full internal company HSE requirements, ensuring compliance and continual improvement
- Ensure full internal Company Health, Safety and Environmental compliance
- Manage the current H&S external client base
- Establish safety standards and policies as required
- Provide technical support between Clients and Contractors
- Development of safety files
- Development of risk assessments, plans, policies and procedures
- HSE training
- Promote safe practices
- Enforce safety guidelines
- Conduct investigations of all accidents and near misses
- Management of all IOD cases and liaising with FEM
- Management of sites HSE functions and conducts job hazard analysis
- Assist Company subcontractors to comply with Legislation standards
- Audit and approve all contractor/sub-contractors safety plans and files
- Site inspections, ensuring compliance, audits, monitoring and reviewing of safety files
- Oversee specials projects when required
