Fitter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced fitter to join our client. The fitter will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining mechanical systems and machinery within a plastic moulding industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assemble and install machinery and mechanical systems
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment as needed
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments or repairs
• Ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

• Fitter Trade Test required
• Proven experience as a fitter within the plastic manufacturing industry, preference for candidates with plastic moulding.
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
