RPO Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Extrusion Line Operator/Setter to join our client’s dynamic team in Johannesburg. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to oversee and maintain the efficient operation of extrusion machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and adjust extrusion line equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain production targets.
- Set up and calibrate machines according to production specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure product compliance with standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is advantageous.
- Proven experience as an Extrusion Line Operator/Setter in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of extrusion processes, materials, and machinery.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
