Are you a passionate Marketer with a keen interest in living and promoting an active, healthy lifestyle? We have a fantastic on-site opportunity for a dynamic Mid-weight Marketing Manager to join the energetic team at a leading national fitness franchise based in Cape Town’s city centre.
 
In this role, you’ll flex your marketing muscles by planning and executing the National marketing strategy, driving brand growth, and boosting visibility. You’ll be hands-on with digital marketing campaigns, collaborating with external partners, and ensuring the brand’s identity shines across all channels. While the focus is mostly digital, there’s room to explore traditional ATL marketing when great opportunities arise (like the occasional radio campaign).
 
As the Marketing Manager, you’ll oversee franchisee training, guide local marketing efforts, and foster exciting brand collaborations. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you’ll be supported by a Marketing Coordinator and a Content & Social Media Manager.

Responsibilities
 
Annual National Marketing Plan & Budget
 
    • Plan and execute the annual National marketing activity plan
    • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
 
Campaign & Communication Development & Execution
 
    • Plan, create, and execute multi-channel digital marketing campaigns for the brand (incl. photo/video shoots)
    • Monitor and adjust strategies to optimise performance and ROI.
    • Management and execution of the day-to-day marketing/advertisement activities
    • Alignment of brand’s communication and advertising channels
    • Performance optimisation of website based on analytics/SEO reports
    • Management & Execution of PR campaign incl. national influencer campaigns
    • Analysing conversion reports & making recommendations.
 
Brand Collaborations
 
    • Manage and nurture existing brand partnerships
    • Seek and evaluate new collaboration opportunities that align with the brand’s vision.
 
Agency Management
 
    • Manage relationships with third-party agencies and service providers
    • Ensure service delivery aligns with brand standards and marketing objectives.
 
Brand & Corporate Identity (CI) Management
 
    • Oversee the development and consistent implementation of the brand’s visual and verbal identity
    • Ensure all internal and external communications reflect the brand’s values and CI guidelines.
 
Franchisee Marketing Training & Support
 
    • Develop and deliver training sessions for franchisees on brand management and marketing initiatives as needed
    • Support Franchisees in their local marketing efforts
    • Giving advice to Franchisees for local marketing initiatives and hosting marketing workshops.
 
Process Improvement
 
    • Identify opportunities for streamlining and improving digital marketing processes
    • Implement strategies that enhance efficiency and campaign effectiveness
    • Manage service providers in digital development projects.
 
Reporting
 
    • Compile regular reports on campaign performance & market trends
    • Provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team based on data analysis.
 
 
 
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in marketing
    • A minimum of at least 3-years Marketing management experience
    • Experience working across marketing channels – Commercial, Partnerships, Digital – with demonstrable results
    • Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including analytics platforms and email marketing platforms.   
    • Strong knowledge of marketing principles, techniques, and best practices, with a demonstrated track record of executing successful marketing campaigns and initiatives.
    • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights
    • Strong digital & social media marketing knowledge and experience
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
