Who we are looking for: A motivated and enthusiastic Media Sales Executive to join our dynamic team.
What will you do:
- Sell digital advertising
- Achieve sales revenue, yield and volume targets
- Proactively source new business, re-engage lapsed customers and renew/upsell existing contracted business
- Achieve measurements contained in your personal objectives
- Deliver first-class account management to maximise opportunities and customer satisfaction
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Prospect for new business by cold calling potential customers
- Monitor competitor media advertising activity and actively canvass
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with all assigned customers ensuring you understand all aspects of their marketing and advertising strategies
- Speedily and effectively respond to and follow up all incoming sales inquiries
- Create and deliver effective sales proposals
- Challenge and overcome objections
- Listen to the advertiser or sponsor requirements and present appropriate solutions
- Sell within agreed advertising rate structures
- Achieve measurements contained in team and external strategies
- Grow revenue from the assigned customer base, taking a proactive approach to developing relationships
- Develop industry knowledge to understand and engage with businesses within our sector effectively
- Meet agreed schedule deadlines
Sales administration
- Meet agreed sales and copy deadlines
- Report daily and weekly sales activity to your manager
- Report market and customer information to your manager as requested
- Prepare for and attend sales team meetings and share best practice
- Alert your manager of any changes in any aspect (strategic, personnel, financial) likely to affect (positively or negatively) budgets, strategies or schedules
What you need:
- Selling advertising and sponsored content into an online member directory
- Telephone media sales experience on business-to-business projects
- Digital sales experience
- Selling advertising and sponsored content into an online recruitment job board
- Selling digital display advertising and sponsored content into an online magazine
- Event and awards sponsorship sales experience
