Junior Data Scientist

An AI and fleet telematics company supporting operational efficiency, forecasting, reporting, and compliance is seeking a junior data scientist. This role involves designing, analysing, documenting, and improving predictive models across the credit life cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse complex datasets to uncover trends and patterns that align with business objectives
• Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to enhance customer behaviour forecasting and resource optimisation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and create metrics to measure data science success
• Design data visualisation tools and dashboards to effectively present insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in data science, machine learning, and AI
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse large datasets and develop predictive models

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field
• One to three years of experience in data analysis, machine learning, and predictive modelling
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL
• Experience with data manipulation tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy)
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
• Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Grafana)
