Service Advisor

Overview:
A well-established dealership in Johannesburg North is urgently looking for a service advisor to join their company.

Main purpose of this job:

• To provide an excellent service by understanding the customer’s needs, providing advice, and offering solutions.
• The outcome produced is a satisfied customer and will be considered successful when:
• The customer’s needs/requirements are understood, and expectations are met.
• There is sound product knowledge.
• Personalised service is provided.
• Customers are informed.

Relationship and personal activities:

• Directly responsible to the service manager and foreman.
• Relationships with company staff.

Functions:

• Welcome customers and capture the relevant information, assuring that client needs are addressed.
• Check a vehicle in with the client.
• Follow up on parts ordered, and bookings are made to suit customers – daily.
• Keep customers up to date about information on the status of the vehicle.
• Handle queries/concerns of customers as per the customers concerned – daily.
• Make out job cards, accurately and timeously and put job cards through for costing – daily.
• Arrange hire vehicles for customers, obtaining the necessary authority to do so.
• Collect Payments from customers that are due, prior to handing back the vehicle.
• Cross-departmental disciplines.

Salary: R19,000 (negotiable) + all benefits
