Senior Manager
Job Description
As the Senior Manager of Steel Making/Blast Furnace, you will lead daily operations, driving excellence in production processes, safety compliance, and efficiency optimisation.
This role requires strategic oversight, aligning operations with company goals while negotiating at a high level and ensuring streamlined functionality.
You will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (NQF 8), with additional training in management development preferred.
A minimum of 12 years of experience in a related industry is required, with a deep understanding of steelmaking and iron-making processes as advantageous assets.
Strong leadership skills, proven problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are crucial for success in this position.
It would be best if you had a strong grasp of industry regulations and best practices, analytical expertise and attention to detail to drive performance under pressure.
Key focus areas include managing overall production operations, upholding safety standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Effective resource management, budgeting, and performance reporting to senior management round out the role’s critical duties.
