Responsible Person Aircraft (RPA) NEW

A well-established aviation company is seeking a highly skilled Responsible Person Aircraft (RPA) to join their team in Lanseria, Gauteng. This role is ideal for a technically competent and reliable professional with experience in aviation operations and regulatory compliance. You will play a key role in ensuring aircraft safety, regulatory adherence, and smooth operational procedures within a fast-paced aviation environment. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the airworthiness and operational readiness of aircraft.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable aviation regulations and company procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of aircraft and maintenance operations.
• Authorize maintenance activities and verify that repairs are performed correctly.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure aircraft safety.
• Follow strict safety guidelines and maintain high operational standards.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant aviation qualifications preferred.
• Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence, issued in terms of Part 66.
• An engineering degree in aeronautics, electrical, mechanical, avionics, or other studies relevant to aircraft maintenance, with 5 years’ experience in the aviation domain after obtaining the qualification, will be advantageous.
• At least two years’ experience in an executive position within aviation, or at least as a Quality Manager within the aviation domain.
• Experience working directly with the SACAA on compliance audits for at least one year.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and regulatory compliance.
