Job Description
A leading food manufacturing company in Kommetjie, Western Cape is seeking an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in biscuit production within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized and results-driven professional to oversee production operations, ensure product quality, and contribute to the ongoing efficiency and safety of the facility. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedules.
- Manage and lead production teams, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Monitor production KPIs and implement process improvements to optimize output.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, food safety regulations, and health and safety policies.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with the engineering team to minimize downtime.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of raw materials for uninterrupted production.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Food Technology, Production Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Production Manager in a biscuit or bakery manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, ISO, etc.) is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict production deadlines.
- Strong communication and team management skills.
