Job Title: Skilled Diesel Mechanic 

Location: Cape Town

A leading automotive company is looking for an experienced Skilled Diesel Mechanic with strong experience in vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair to join their team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated mechanic to deliver expert vehicle maintenance and repair services by diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction. If you have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a motor technician and a passion for operational excellence, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
• Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.
• Perform inspections and testing of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and recommend repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly.
• Adherence to a “Fix right first time” work culture.
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently, adhere to deadlines, and maintain detailed records of repairs.
• Collaborate with service advisors and other team members.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a motor technician, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role within the motor industry.
• Certification from a recognized automotive training institution.
• Strong expertise in diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of various vehicle models.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Commitment to transparency and professionalism.
• Ability to use diagnostic software.
• Efficient organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
