Job Description
A well-established company based in Killarney Gardens, Western Cape is seeking a Quality Systems Administrator with a strong background in food safety, quality assurance, and compliance within a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to ensure that all quality and food safety management systems are effectively implemented and maintained. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting operational excellence across the business. Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and improve quality and food safety management systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
- Plan, coordinate, and participate in internal and external audits.
- Compile, review, and maintain documentation related to quality and compliance.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions, ensuring timely closure of non-conformances.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
- Provide training and guidance on quality and food safety standards.
- Ensure accurate reporting and effective communication of quality metrics.
Requirements
- Matric (Gr.12).
- BSc Food Science or National Diploma/Degree in Food Technology.
- Quality and food safety management systems certificate.
- Lead Auditor’s Certificate.
- Preferably a SAACTA Accreditation.
- Strong knowledge of quality and food safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
