Job Description


A well-established company based in Killarney Gardens, Western Cape is seeking a Quality Systems Administrator with a strong background in food safety, quality assurance, and compliance within a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to ensure that all quality and food safety management systems are effectively implemented and maintained. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting operational excellence across the business. Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and improve quality and food safety management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in internal and external audits.
  • Compile, review, and maintain documentation related to quality and compliance.
  • Monitor corrective and preventive actions, ensuring timely closure of non-conformances.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
  • Provide training and guidance on quality and food safety standards.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and effective communication of quality metrics.

Requirements

  • Matric (Gr.12).
  • BSc Food Science or National Diploma/Degree in Food Technology.
  • Quality and food safety management systems certificate.
  • Lead Auditor’s Certificate.
  • Preferably a SAACTA Accreditation.
  • Strong knowledge of quality and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
