Boilermaker

Responsibilities:

• Carry out maintenance and fabrication of plant equipment
• Implement and maintain planned maintenance schedules
• Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment
• Fabricate bins, chutes, hoppers, and piping
• Conduct inspections on key mechanical equipment to ensure reliability
• Identify, prioritize, and address equipment requiring maintenance or repairs
• Conduct risk assessments prior to major tasks or projects
• Perform general steel fabrication work
• Plan and coordinate shutdown activities
• Forecast and allocate required materials and labor for maintenance tasks
• Plan and execute projects in compliance with internal procedures and legal requirements
• Perform routine daily inspections across the plant

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Boilermaker Trade Test Certificate
• N6 Certificate or equivalent
• 5 years’ experience as a Boilermaker (Post-Apprentice)
• Relevant experience in fabricating, repairing, modifying components and structures within the mining industry.
• Valid Driver’s License

Benefits:

• Salary: R265K – R300K P/A
