ENVIRONMENT:
Our client, a Cape Town–based startup disrupting a global market, has developed innovative technology that replaces outdated systems with advanced software, automation, and digital payments—delivering a more cost-efficient, convenient, and sustainable solution for businesses and properties. With nationwide scale underway and global ambitions ahead, the company is seeking a seasoned Sales Expert (based in Gauteng) to drive product adoption across retail, residential, commercial, and public sectors in South Africa. This role offers a significant opportunity to sell a truly disruptive product in a large market, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting and nurturing leads to securing SLA agreements. With no commission cap and deal sizes that vary substantially, this position is ideal for a driven sales professional eager to make a tangible impact in a high-growth business.
 
DUTIES:
  • Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold outreach, events, and referrals in the property/real estate sector.
  • Conduct demos, presentations, and site visits to showcase the company’s solution (e.g., cost savings, sustainability, dashboards for landlords/tenants).
  • Prepare customized proposals, pricing models, and contracts.
  • Close deals and achieve quarterly targets.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients like property groups & REITS.
  • Track sales pipeline using CRM tools (HubSpot).
  • Provide market feedback to refine offerings and collaborate with engineering/ops teams.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience: 4-6+ years in B2B sales, ideally selling tech/hardware/SAAS solutions to property, retail, or mobility sectors. Proven track record of closing deals.
  • Skills: Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing abilities. Familiarity with CRM, proposal tools. Understanding of B2B contracts, pricing, and ROI pitches.
  • Industry Knowledge: Bonus for experience in parking, proptech, IoT, or real estate. Awareness of South African market dynamics.
  • Technical/Other: Comfortable with remote work tools (Discord). Willingness to travel. Sales certification advantageous.
  • Education: Degree in Business, Marketing, or related; or equivalent experience.
