Senior Factory Manager/Senior Plant Manager, Industrial Manufacturer

SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: The main responsibility of the Senior Factory Manager is to deliver products of maximum quality in a cost-effective, safe, and reliable manner, while maintaining the factory assets in a cost-effective way to ensure safe and reliable production. The role involves strategic planning, operational management, maintenance of the assets, team leadership, and driving continuous improvement to enhance productivity, product quality, and profitability. The Senior Factory Manager is responsible to lead, direct and manage all aspects of the business to achieve the desired growth, profit and strategic business objectives or ambitions of the business unit.

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• High energy 
• Leadership skills 
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, maintenance, and quality control
• Proven track record in a management role within a factory or plant environment which is ideally a 24/7 operation
• At least 5 years post qualification engineering or process experience in Manufacturing, FMCG, Chemical and Processing or mining industry
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management

AGE RANGE:
Late 20’s to mid 30’s

QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualification in the engineering discipline – Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Metallurgy, Millwright, or equivalent qualification
