SACAP (The South African College of Applied Psychology) is the leading independent provider of accredited Psychology, Counselling, Human Resource Management, Business Management and Social Work qualifications, with all courses grounded in psychology. We have campuses in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Online. 

SACAP is seeking a Learning Technologist based at our Head Office. This is a permanent position.

The Learning Technologist will support online and blended learning programmes through the implementation of learning technologies. The Learning Technologist is responsible for owning the implementation and management of all learning technology systems and tools in order to achieve efficient and high-quality user experiences.

The Learning Technologist is responsible for working closely with the Learning Design team, the Academic Team and Student Administration to ensure that learning technologies support SACAP’s Teaching and Learning Strategy through appropriate onboarding, support, and training.

Responsibilities:

  • Uploading and maintaining module content, such as PDFs and video files and images on the LMS
  • Formatting, styling and applying the correct settings to module templates on the LMS
  • Implementing changes to content during the live presentation of modules
  • Supporting the technical implementation of any third-party technologies such as LTI, AI and GenAi solutions
  • Training internal stakeholders and educators in the use of learning technologies
  • Analyzing and identifying ways to improve business and academic processes in relation to learning technologies
  • Review user experience design principles in the assessment and implementation of the online modules and the learning management system
  • Serve as product owner for all SACAP learning technologies, including managing accounts with third-party stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science or related fields.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a learning technologist or similar role

OPERATING HOURS:

This is a full-time position operating from Monday to Friday*:

  • Monday – Thursday:   08:30 – 17:00
  • Friday:                      08:00 – 16:00
