Our client, luxury retailer brand is seeking an Assistant Financial Manager to join their young and innovative team in Cape Town. The Assistant Financial Manager (2IC) plays a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Finance in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of the finance function. This role acts as the primary reviewer and coordinator of team outputs, ensuring that month-end processes, reconciliations, compliance tasks, and reporting obligations are delivered accurately and on time. The 2IC is responsible for quality control, process oversight, team mentorship, and system/process improvement within the finance department.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Completed SAICA articles
• Newly Qualified CA
• Minimum 3 years experience in financial accounting, Auditing
• Proven track record of managing or mentoring junior staff.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and month-end processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
