Mechanical/Fire Engineer – CPT
Job Description
Hire Resolve’s client, a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy known for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in the built environment, is currently seeking a skilled Mechanical & Fire Engineer to join their dynamic team in Cape Town. This role is ideal for a driven professional ready to take ownership of Mechanical and Fire Engineering services within the Building Services sector.
Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical building services process from conceptualization through to design, implementation, and project closure.

Work autonomously and take full accountability for projects.

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project integration.

Apply comprehensive knowledge of local codes and regulations, particularly SANS Codes and Rational Designs.

Contribute Fire Engineering expertise to improve safety and performance outcomes in building design.

Compile detailed specifications and bills of quantities specific to the mechanical scope.

Develop and present technical reports to keep stakeholders informed on project status and findings.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or BSc).

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Building Services Industry.

Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (or eligible to register).

Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of Revit is a strong advantage.

Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong understanding of fire engineering principles and local compliance standards.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.
