Estimator – Cape Town

Hire Resolve’s client, a reputable and well-established civil engineering contractor based in Cape Town with a strong focus on infrastructure and bulk earthworks projects, is currently seeking a highly motivated Estimator to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects using CCS (Candy) estimating software.

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to gather project insights and ensure cost accuracy.

• Conduct take-offs and compile BOQs.

• Identify cost risks and provide recommendations to reduce costs.

• Assist in tender submissions and ensure all requirements are met within tight deadlines.

Requirements

• 3 to 4 years of experience using CCS (Candy) in a civil estimating role.

• A few years of on-site civil engineering experience (preferably in bulk earthworks or infrastructure projects).

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• A genuine passion for estimating and contributing to the financial success of civil projects.
